Mitsubishi Electric US Cooling & Heating Division Promotes Mark Kuntz to Senior Vice President, Product Strategy and Engineering

Mitsubishi Electric US Cooling & Heating Division (Mitsubishi Electric), America's No. 1 selling brand of ductless cooling and heating systems, announces the promotion of Mark Kuntz (pictured right) from vice president, marketing and engineering solutions, to senior vice president, product strategy and engineering, effective immediately.

In his new role, Kuntz will provide strategic and operational leadership to the product planning, product marketing, in-market product development, OEM solutions and industry/government relations functions. He'll oversee the creation, design and development of all division products and engineered solutions as head of the Engineering Center, Mitsubishi Electric's 35-person, Atlanta-based team focusing on the North American market. This includes establishing a seamless process for new product development and strengthening product design. Kuntz will also lead the identification and pursuit of new business opportunities, mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, alliances and more.

"This commitment will continue as Mark guides Mitsubishi Electric in a number of areas with an eye onthe marketplace, creating new products and expanding growth opportunities."

Kuntz graduated with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering in 1984 from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, California and received his master's degree in business administration from Southern Methodist University in 1998. He is professional engineer licensed by the state of California, a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and A/C Engineers, a board member of the Green Building Initiative and a LEED® Accredited Professional.

Shuji Morisaki was also promoted from senior vice president to executive vice president, Mitsubishi Electric US Cooling & Heating Division, effective June 16. Morisaki joined the division in April 2013. Since that time he has overseen Mitsubishi Electric's continued solid growth trajectory.
