Mitsubishi Electric Cooling & Heating Introduces New Southwest Director, Residential Business
Mitsubishi Electric US, Inc. Cooling & Heating Division (Mitsubishi Electric), a leading manufacturer of Zoned Comfort Solutions™ and variable refrigerant flow cooling and heating systems, announced the promotion of David Wadsworth to director, residential business, Southwest Business Unit.
In this role, Wadsworth is responsible for overseeing the Southwest Business Unit’s residential sales and marketing team and providing the strategic direction for current and future business. Additionally, as director, he serves as the liaison with customers, other business units and Mitsubishi Electric’s leadership team. Wadsworth’s role emerges from a new business unit leadership restructure, implemented last year, which established separate directors for the residential and commercial channels of each business unit.
“The expertise and knowledge that David brings to our team of existing directors will fortify valuable relationships in the Southwest Business Unit, and provide insightful, competitive sales strategies to elevate the opportunities for continued success of our products in southwest residential projects,” says Steve O’Brien, vice president, residential business, Mitsubishi Electric US, Inc. Cooling & Heating Division.
Wadsworth has almost 30 years of industry experience, previously serving as residential sales manager in the Southwest Business Unit, where his duties included profit and loss responsibility, sales and expense management, distributor relationships and overseeing incentive and marketing programs. It was in this position that he revised the sales strategy that led to a substantial sales growth of nearly $3 million for Mitsubishi Electric’s M- and P-Series products in 2015. Wadsworth has prior experience as a director of sales, HVAC equipment and parts at N.B. Handy Company, Charlotte, North Carolina. It was there that he gained experience developing sales and marketing programs and processes that effectively drove revenue and achieved margin targets for applied products.
