Most Energy-efficient Ductless Model on Market Provides Significant Heating Capacity in Extreme Cold Climates
Mitsubishi Electric US Cooling & Heating Division (Mitsubishi Electric), America's No. 1 selling brand of ductless cooling and heating systems, has introduced the MSZ-FH line of Hyper-Heating residential systems. At 30.5 SEER, the MSZ-FH09NA/MUZ-FH09NA system is the most energy-efficient ductless zoning system in the U.S. market. The MSZ-FH line joins the Hyper-Heating INVERTER (H2i®) family of products, the most complete family of cold climate heat pump products.
The high-performance INVERTER compressor technology and heat transfer capabilities allow the MSZ-FH to operate at 100 percent heating capacity at 5 degrees Fahrenheit, giving it the lowest ambient heating capabilities on the market.
"The new MSZ-FH proves that cold climates and heat pump performance aren't mutually exclusive. We've not only been able to develop a product that has extraordinary heating performance for residential applications, but one that also has the highest efficiency of any ductless product on the market," says Mark Kuntz, vice president, marketing & engineered solutions, Mitsubishi Electric US Cooling & Heating Division.
This enhanced Hyper-Heating INVERTER capability reduces the need for a backup heat source such as a gas furnace or boiler, saving installation time, improving energy efficiency and addressing significant industry demand to provide heat pump operation in extreme conditions without relying on fossil fuels.
At 9K, 12K and 15K Btu/h capacities, no other cooling and heating manufacturer offers this variety of low ambient performance capabilities for residential applications.
Other benefits of the MSZ-FH line include:
- i-see Sensor™ 3D. Indoor units feature infrared sensing technology, which measures the location of heat signatures, or humans, in the zone as well as the cubic volume of the space. Depending on those factors, the system delivers conditioned air to needed areas by double-vane airflow.
- Indoor Air Quality. The triple-action filtration system includes a nano-platinum filter, electrostatic anti-allergen enzyme filter and deodorizing filter, reducing allergens, viruses and bacteria in the air.
The ENERGY STAR® rated systems will be available through Mitsubishi Electric US Cooling & Heating Division distribution channels by spring 2014. For more information, click here.
